Kampot Red Peppercorns - Cambodia
Organic and Fair Trade Kampot Red Peppercorns are fully ripened before hand-harvesting. They are then cleaned and sun-dried. Deep, rich aromas of chocolate, tobacco, and fruit. The taste is less spicy than black pepper with sweet notes of honey and cherry.
Kampot Pepper is organically grown and has been awarded with a PGI (Protected Geographical Indications). PGI is similar to the AOC of France (Appellation d'Origine Controlee), given to Champagne, Roquefort cheese, or other products that are authentic only when produced in their specific region.
While we love pepper on just about everything, these red peppercorns are particularly delicious with:
- Soup
- Steaks and chops
- Seafood
- Fresh cheeses such as mozzarella, feta, goat, or cream cheese
- Try on fresh fruit like pineapple, mango, peaches, oranges, or red fruits
- Chocolate (especially chocolate truffles), caramel, or citrus desserts
- Cocktail infusions
For best flavor and potency when not using, keep tightly closed in a cool, dark cupboard away from direct heat or sunlight.
